Employee monitoring: to track or not to track?

I’ve started to see this quite a bit with companies I’ve consulted or talked with. They see the new tech available and the activity trackers and start to realize the potential to quantify the effectiveness and quantity of time the employees are putting in. But this article makes a great point that this may not be such a great thing for the employee. The tech is interesting and has a lot of potential, but there’s also the potential to use it negatively.
